The pitch :
WIP :(
This project was a submission to a call to tender from Grand Palais Immersif. They wanted an immersive experience that would expand its art exposition "Loading."after it ended.
We responded with a streetart themed, AR, geolocalised online game in which players would go out and tag using their phone to take part in a turf war opposing 4 factions. we wanted to represent the essence of street art, its collectiveness as well as the expresssion of one's individuality in this game.

My role :
Solo Programmer
I was the only programmer on this project, except for a Lead Programmer who m supervised me. That was a first for me. I was responsible for my own code and I needed to balance communication with my teammates and working on my workload.
Augmented Reality
AR was a new technology that I never worked with, and it was really interesting to discover how I could implement the tag feature with it. Using ARFoundation I managed to work with the 3D world superposed with the real world. I mainly used raycasts to correctly orient everything in the right direction.
Servers and database
In order to make the game work, I needed to work on an online feature which included sending and receiving data from the game (other players' progress shown on the main map, showing a tag you just made to other players). I used Unity Cloud to implement these features and with the help from my supervisor, I managed to learn how to use it and its code to my advantage.

This project was presented to members of Grand Palais Immersif, which set a new standard for me. My main focus became programming content we could show to give credibility to our project, instead of just finishing a game as a school project. This was the longest project I worked on and I'm grateful for the people that helped me learn new things and gain new skills.
