The pitch :

'Sir Lambertus, a brave and kind knight, is stuck in a Rogue-Like game run. He's been stuck in the Donjunion for 6 years and has yet to defeat the boss, El Rey Cristobal Von Strativosky. Over the years, he begins to develop feelings for his favorite merchant, Lemarchand. Then Eden starts to take an interest in Lambertus' crush. Our valiant knight has a new goal: to seduce the one he loves with the Power of Love before his rival steals him away !'

In this reflexion game, you need to carefully choose your path in dungeons to reach your crush before your rival does. you can move, push crates and attract them using the Power Of Love which has a restricted number of uses. you can also get items to help you move in the dungeons.

My role :

Tiles and Items interactions
 

I worked on programming the different methods that would check on which tile the player lands and the effects of those tiles like the ice or the holes. I also did the item system and their effects. The most challenging part was figuring out each and every specific case like landing on a tile which and effect applied in a rare situation, my main goal was to cover all cases so that no bug or problem would hinder the player experience.

 

This project allowed me to work on something that felt realer then any other game I worked on since we officially released it on the Google Play Store and we had to make it as professionnal as possible. I learned many new things and improved my teamwork thanks to the people I spent 5 weeks with.​
